| October 3, 2009: 31th Anniversary SAINTS Ball |
| |
|
Invest in an extraordinary cause. St. Vincent Healthcare will hold its annual SAINTS Benefit on October 3rd to benefit the Montana Pediatric Project, providing services which allow kids to heal closer to home. The Montana Pediatric Project provides a highly skilled team of professionals to address the critical care needs of our most vulnerable patients. These critical care physicians specialize in caring for kids from birth to 17. So the sickest kids get the advanced services they need to get well and the exceptional quality of care they deserve - right in their own backyard.
The theme is RED HOT & SOUL with a sizzling evening of dinner and dancing. With slick choreography and tight harmonies, the high energy nine piece band, Jakarta, will play the best of Motown and Rock N' Roll. In January, Jakarta was featured at a Congressional Inaugural Ball in Washington DC and has earned rave reviews throughout the US.
Partner with us to advance pediatric care in Montana. For more information on sponsor tables or tickets, call St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation, 237-3603. Click to see the Auction Description!

| June 29, 2009: Fortin Memorial Golf Tournament |
| |
|
|
On Monday June 29th - 30 four person teams converged on Yellowstone Country Club for the 29th Annual St. Vincent Healthcare Fortin Memorial Golf Tournament. 120 avid golfers enjoyed a barbecue lunch, warmed up with complimentary range balls before teeing off at 12:30pm. The course was in excellent condition and the weather nearly perfect for this shamble format fundraising event for St. Vincent Healthcare.
The Fortin Memorial Golf Tournament raised nearly $50,000 for cancer care and treatment with special focus on men's prostate cancer. Sponsored by the Fortin Foundation of Florida, US Bank and Intermountain Distributing, this tournament was a sold out event as it has a strong following of individuals and businesses that wish to participate every year.
St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation staff would like to thank the many volunteers who made this event run smoothly and added a special touch of camaraderie, the Yellowstone Country Club staff, all the team and hole sponsors for helping make this an outstanding event. Please click here for a list of event sponsors.
Congratulations to the individual prize winners and the teams who took top honors this year. Click here to view the winning team results.

| March 21, 2009: World Water Crisis Awareness Event |
| |
|
Walk for Water
MSU - Billings, Montana |
|
|
|
World Water Day is an international day of observance and action to draw attention to the plight of the more than 1 billion people worldwide who lack access to clean, safe drinking water and the over 2 billion who lack sanitation. March 22 each year was designated as World Water Day in 1992, when the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution.
This year, Billings will join 65 other cities throughout the United States to address this critical global problem. This grassroots event is being organized by Hope 2 One Life, Inc., Billings, along with the following representatives of 5 international non-profit ministries. Proceeds from this year’s event will go toward specific humanitarian water and health projects benefitting these ministries:

Last year in 2008, Billings 1st Annual Walk for Water raised over $16,000 through sponsors, direct donations and fundraising efforts. 100% of the funds raised went directly to the represented projects in Africa and included implementation of:
- a deep water well at Aunt Vicky’s school, benefitting 700 children and the surrounding village; hygiene and health training; and contributions toward LifeStraws, a water filter straw, in Uganda
- funds toward water and sanitation facilities at New Hope Hospital in Tanzania – benefitting thousands
- funds toward a collaborative windmill project via Amani Development and benefitting thousands in Tanzania
- bio-sand water filters and mold, pump repair and funds toward rain water storage tanks in Sudan; hygiene and health training; benefitting a war torn remote village.
- funds toward a water system via Jireh Ministries, Uganda
Awareness was great and a ripple effect, as approximately 400 volunteers and walkers participated in the Billings event.
