Foster Grandparent Program
1

The Foster Grandparent Program is a Community Outreach program for seniors and children. Foster Grandparents serve as mentors, tutors and friends to children with special needs. Among the most significant goals for the Foster Grandparent Program are: to provide seniors with opportunities to help to make their community a better place for children, to help children with special needs flourish upon loving care and attention, and to enhance the self-esteem of all participants.

Foster Grandparents benefit from the program in many ways, such as an hourly stipend, transportation to and from work, annual physical exam, daily meal and most of all, rewarding experience and recognition for serving children.

Foster Grandparents are at least sixty years old, enjoy reasonably good health and live on a limited income. Seniors who do not qualify under the income guidelines are invited to participate as volunteers and share many of the benefits.

For more information on the Foster Grandparent program and how you can become involved please call (406)237-3485.
